Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi)
The endangered Mexican wolf, is curiosly the most endangered an the smallest North American wolf subespecie.
Guatemalan Jaguarundi (Puma yaguarondi fossata)
The jaguarundi, also know as otter cat is three differnt genus (Depending of the opinion): Puma, Herpailurus and Felis. Note: the animal feature In MexM is a subespecie: fossata
Teporingo or volcano rabbit (Romerolagus diazi)
A critically endangered rabbit that live across the Transversal neovolcanic axle (A mountain system on Central Mexico), it live near the biggest mountanins and near the biggest cities of Mexico too (* Thanks to Octavio for the model)
Silver bear (Ursus americanus machetes)
This is a endemic subespecie of black bear, only lives in Mexico. It lives in the temperate forests in North-central Mexico
Mapimi Bolson tortoise (Gopherus flavomarginatus)
This tortoise lives only in a region of the Chihuahuan Desert known as the Bolsón de Mapimí, which is located in north-central Mexico
Collared peccary (Pecari tajacu)
Is the most common peccary. Can live in dry deserts, wet tropical rainforests, savannas and decideous forests! It ranges from Texas in the USA, until Argentina. In Mexico, Central America and The Amazon Forest too
Ocellated turkey (Meleagris ocellata)
A beautiful turkey with iridiscent feathers and red nodules was a delicious food for the ancient Maya people. It only lives on Yucatan peninsula
Cacomixtle (Bassariscus astutus)
Is know as ringtail or ringtail cat too. It lives from Southern USA to Northern Mexico and is also named miner´s cat due they were frequently used to exterminate rodents form gold and silver mines.
Vaquita (Phocoena sinus)
The vaquita is the smallest and most endangered cetacean (With the "extintion" of the Baiji) It only lives in the coastal waters of the Californian gulf. Its usually captured by fishers with their nets.
Pygmy spotted skunk (Spilogale pygmaea)
A little skunk of the grasslands, woodlands and scrubs of west Mexico, the place where it only lives.
Guadalupe fur seal (Arctocephalus townsendi)
This big member of the order Pinnipeda is the only fur seal living north-equator and lives on North Mexico Pacific coasts.
Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)
This beautiful eagle live across the Northern Hemiphere and is the National Bird of many countries such as Mexico and Kasahkstan.
